TFRC researcher Anne Marr will be a keynote speaker at D_TEX Textile Design Conference 2017, 1st International Conference in Textiles, Identity and Innovation which will be held at Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon from the 2nd – 4th of November 2017.
D_TEX presents itself as a starting point at a crossroads of ideas and debates around the complex universe of Textile Design in all its forms, manifestations and dimensions.
Anne will be discussing ‘The Fabric of Belonging: Place-based textile community engagement’ and how textile making can enhance the mental health and well-being of homeless and vulnerably housed residents as well as stimulating greater community exchange.
